Being first time home buyers, we came in with little knowledge of the process and with a lot of questions. David Mabrouk and his team at eMortgage walked us through the whole process, answered all our questions, and were available 7 days a week (including well after normal business hours). David provided us with weekly updates and made sure we were secure in the decisions we were making.
Sold me on getting back my full escrow ($6,945) plus getting my January payment back because we were closing in January and it had already been paid, so that I could pay off a credit card and save myself a few hundred dollars a month. Instead, they fudged all the numbers and "netted" the escrow payment so that my escrow and my January payment were forfeited to finish paying off the loan, instead of a roughly $10k check back from my mortgage servicer, I got a $200 check and rather than having the money to pay off said credit ... read more
This company is a joke. They literally took three months to do my loan strung me along the whole way, telling me they were going to do things, and never did them kept submitting the same loan, backed me into a corner and pretty much forced my hand to take the loan because all the false promises they kept on telling me the numerous times into closing promised money that I will never see told me I would get my $700 appraisal back now they just ghost me save yourself a headache and go with a reputable company that has good revi... read more
Was trying to do an IRRRL with Marvin and Isaac. We started the process January 6th and was told it would only take 7-10 days to close. Quoted at a 5.3% interest rate and told not to make my January payment because we would "definitely be closing". January 21st came and we still didn't close, but I was told that we were just waiting on our final CD's and would be "for sure closing in January so don't even worry about the late fee that will come out of your returned escrow check". Reached out to Bill Shaw(used him before when he worked at different company) to do a refinance on our home on June 3, 2024. We started the process that day had to jump through the usual hoops, sent the information for a appraisal and was told $300-$500 checked our account and it costed us $625 wasn’t happy with that amount.
